Oman Ministry of Tourism hires Four Communications
Four Communications has been appointed to handle the UK PR, meetings segment (MICE), sales and marketing for the Oman Ministry of Tourism, following a competitive tender process.
Four Communications starts work in February, with a key focus on increasing visitor numbers to the country and raising awareness of it as a holiday destination.
The Four Communications’ Oman Ministry of Tourism account team will be led by director Helen Coop on the PR side and Rob Wilson, head of sales and marketing for travel and tourism, on sales and marketing and MICE.
Asma Al Hajri, the Oman Ministry of Tourism’s deputy director general, international tourism promotions, said: “As we continue to raise the profile of Oman in the UK, it was important for us to select an agency that will build and enhance the work that has already been done to promote Oman in the UK.
“Four Communications has superb experience of destination PR and marketing, excellent media relations, MICE and trade connections and creative ideas. Their experience in the sustainable travel field will also help us to increase visitor numbers from the UK. We look forward to working with our new UK team to develop and grow Oman’s profile further in the UK.”
Coop said: “We are thrilled to be working with the Oman Ministry of Tourism; Oman is an incredibly exciting destination with a unique tourism product to offer. We will be delivering traditional and digital campaigns to support the destination’s marketing strategy, working with media and trade to raise awareness of the country’s USPs to ultimately drive more visitors.”
