Senior hire at Atomic
Atomic has appointed Pernod Ricard's Sarah Bentley as a director in its London office to oversee the agency’s wine and spirits portfolio.
Sarah will also focus on agency strategy and planning as well as new business, working closely with Atomic MD, Daniel Cohen and Atomic directors, Helen Ellis and Judy Wilks.
The appointment reunites Sarah and Daniel who worked together at Harrison Cowley and Trimedia where Sarah was head of the food and drink division.
Sarah has 15 years’ experience working in PR, specialising in FMCG, and was previously working for Pernod Ricard UK as communications manager, where she worked closely with Atomic in its agency role, and managed trade communications for the business and its brands.
Daniel said: “Bringing Sarah over to Atomic was a no brainer as our work on the wine and spirits accounts we run continues to push the boundaries.
“Sarah’s knowledge of the drinks sector and her experience not only as our client previously, but across the industry will only serve to boost our own offering for our clients in the consumer space.
"Her fantastic client relations skills put her in the ideal position to help grow not only our business, but also the already experienced team. We’re really pleased she’s on board.”
She has also previously worked inhouse at Treasury Wine Estates, managing all corporate and brand communications and her agency experience at Touch PR, Harrison Cowley and Trimedia includes leading teams for Coca-Cola, Nescafé, Diageo, William Grant & Sons, First Drinks and implementing what was then the world’s first food waste programme, Love Food Hate Waste.
Before embarking on a career in PR, Sarah spent four years as a trade press journalist specialising in FMCG reporting.
Sarah’s hire takes the London office to a total of 18 staff.
